Research and Planning Department
Research and Planning Department has been
established in 1998 to satisfy TCOs needs. The
department consists of six divisions: Information and Library, planning and
supervision, Jurisdiction and contracts, technology evaluation, staff training
and research divisions. Plans and duties of these divisions are as follows:
Research Division:
1.
Study the policies and
development plans in successful countries,
2.
Studying and researching about
the effective factors in development and progress of
3.
Providing assistance for
developing the technological culture,
4.
Fundamental research about
technology,
5.
Developing concepts and proper
methods for technology transfer,
6.
Studying the existing status of
technologies in
7.
Forecasting the process of
technology development in
8.
Helping to found technology
analysis centers and establishing relations with similar centers and also
between the researchers.
Planning and Supervision Division:
1.
Policy making for development
plans,
2.
Drawing up the annual budget,
3.
project planning,
4.
Allocating the annual budget
required for the departments,
5.
Supervising the good
performance of all ratified plans.
Jurisdiction and contracts Division:
1.
Settlement of disputes,
2.
Preparing the contracts and
protocols,
3.
Providing legal consultation
to the departments.
Technology Evaluation Division:
1.
Apply the technology
management models and industrial engineering methods for studying and
evaluation of technological projects and selected technologies in order to
determine their compatibility with the technology requirements,
2.
Evaluation of the technology
transfer,
3.
Studying the feasibility
studies of the projects.
Information & Library:
1.
Providing library services,
2.
Information required by the
departments,
3.
Data Management including
collection, Processing and distribution,
4.
Providing Audio Video
services.
Training Division:
1.
Staff qualification,
knowledge, efficiency improvement,
2.
Providing staff educational and
training needs,
3.
Organizing short courses in
accordance with the missions of TCO,
4.
Organizing training seminars,
5.
Developing the training
information data bank and documentation,
6.
Concluding
contracts for staff training with educational centers.
